Campaign Story

We met in 2017 and have been building our life together ever since. From the beginning, we knew we wanted to marry one another and become parents. We didn’t rush that dream — we wanted to do it thoughtfully and intentionally. Our hope was to be emotionally, mentally, and practically prepared so that when we welcomed a child, they would have a stable foundation and a home filled with love.

Over the years, we worked toward that goal. We grew together, got engaged, and purchased our home — believing we were finally ready to begin the next chapter. When we started our fertility journey, we were full of hope, but life took an unexpected turn. During the early stages of treatment, we experienced job loss and a loss of insurance, forcing us to pause and cut back in ways we never anticipated.

As we continued testing, we learned that both of us require fertility treatment in order to conceive, making our journey more complex and emotionally and financially challenging. We reached out to family for support, hoping for encouragement and help, but unfortunately we did not receive the support we needed.

Still, our commitment to each other and to becoming parents has never wavered. We are hosting a puzzle-themed fundraiser to represent the piece we are still missing — our child — and to help support the medical costs that come with continuing fertility treatment and testing. This journey has been emotional, challenging, and full of hope, and we are deeply grateful for every bit of support along the way.
