Campaign Story

Hi! My name is Brittany and my husband’s name is Thaddeus. We are one of those 1 in 8 couples that struggle with fertility. I have two daughters ages 9 & 12 from a previous marriage. I divorced from my previous marriage in 2013. Thaddeus and I went junior high and high school together. We’ve always had a crush on each other but we were kids. What did we know about love lol. In 2016 Thaddeus and I reconnected with each other after going our separate ways once we graduated. We dated for the first 3 years and married in 2019. Thaddeus came into me and my daughters life with no kids of his own. We have always wanted a blended family because we wanted to have a child together. We decided to take the first two years of our marriage to get established in our careers and travel first. My daughters go stay with their dad out of state for the summers which allows us to travel. We wanted to enjoy and have experiences that would last a lifetime. We started trying to conceive in April of 2020. Our real journey was about to begin; the most fragile moments of our lives were about to unfold. We never thought it would have taken this long to get pregnant as my previous pregnancies were easy peasy on the first try in my previous marriage. I’m 35 now and feel like my clock is ticking. Our journey has included:

10 months TTC with Ovulation Induction Supplements
Thyroidectomy
Ultrasound that found small fibroids
2 failed IUIs
PGT-A testing on remaining embryos
hundreds of pills, 88 shots self-administered by me, blood draws and numerous doctor visits than I can count
Saline Ultrasound, HSG, hysteroscopy, endometriosis testing, etc. – testing, testing, testing!
All we keep getting is “Unexplained Infertility”

Doc’s say that my fibroids are small and not in a location that should impact fertility. As for my Thyroidectomy, my hormones are balanced and numbers are were they should be. All we have ever wanted was a child of our own. Especially with the girls being back and forth between our home and their dad. We have dreamed of this day from the moment we met. Our faith is strong that our hopes and dreams will surpass. Hopefully sooner than we can imagine! We are fighting all odds and pray that with each negative test we get one step closer to our sweet baby.

What I can tell you is this… our marriage has never been stronger. The tears have led to days and nights of lifting each other up. The pain has led to moments of more tears and prayer. The fears have strengthened us together more than we could have imagined. I truly believe our ttc journey has destined for us to be the parents and blended family God intended us to be. We have learned the value of patience and persistence. And the only thing stronger than our fears, is our hope for this journey.

A note to our baby: You are already loved beyond measure. Mommy & Daddy are fighting with everything in us to bring you into our arms. One day, we will tell you this story of how you were created with the most amount of a love, and a little bit of science. We will never stop fighting for you, and we want you to know that you are worth the wait. This journey is the most painful experience we have ever been on with so many let downs, but we know that the reward is you. We would walk this journey every day for the rest of our lives to bring you here. We pray to God to support us through this journey and that He will be with us every step of the way. We pray that His plans for you are far greater than we could have ever dreamed. You are WANTED and LOVED. We will meet you soon and again, we love you.

Thank you for helping us fight for our family. Even $5 can go a long way. Thank you for taking your time to read this!
