Campaign Story

Hi there! I know this is a long shot but I’m hoping our story will touch your heart. My husband and I have been together for almost 5 years now and we have tried to start a family from very early on. We spent over two years as foster parents, taking in children as young as 1 to as old as 17 in our home. With each child that was placed with us, our hearts grew and grew. Try as we might, things just didn’t line up for an adoption through foster care and ultimately, the disappointment was more than we could take. A year and a half ago, we decided to go to a fertility clinic, hoping for some answers. During the initial stages of testing, I became pregnant naturally but immediately knew something was wrong. Within 8 days of knowing I was pregnant, I ended up in the Emergency Room having an emergency surgery resulting in the removal of one of my fallopian tubes as it was a tubal (ectopic) pregnancy. Again, another disappointment. Now, after taking some time to heal, we have restarted with a new fertility clinic but unfortunately, our best course of action now is to go directly to IVF because of the loss of my tube. We’ve waited patiently and we’ve tried for so, so long. I humbly ask that if you can spare anything towards the cost of what we are looking at out of pocket, it would be SO greatly appreciated.
