Campaign Story

Hello, my name is Orinta, my husband’s name is Ovidijus. We want to tell you a bit about our story, and we really hope that you can help us so that this story has a happy ending.

In the winter of 2017, I was diagnosed with stage 3 thyroid cancer. Immediately after the diagnosis, the entire thyroid gland and some of the surrounding tissue with lymph nodes were removed. The surgery was followed by four radioactive iodine treatments to completely destroy the cancer. The treatment lasted for about a year… But I will have to take medicine that will replace the thyroid hormones for the rest of my life… However, the story is not about that.

When I was diagnosed with it, I immediately understood that it would be extremely difficult for me to have children. Unfortunately, my fear was confirmed. My husband and I have been trying to have children for 6 years, during those 6 years, countless tests, 2 IUIs and 2 IVFs were performed, and I had several miscarriages pregnancies…
Not a single test found anything wrong with me or my husband. Just infertility of unknown origin.
In Lithuania (where we live), doctors can’t do anything more and they don’t offer us any other treatment, because “there is nothing to treat”.

My husband and I are trying not to give up and turn to specialists from another country… I have always dreamed of a big family, an addition of the family, but unfortunately we are unable to do so.

At the moment, we have received a lot of recommendations and hope from the doctor with whom we plan to start the treatment, but we lack the money to proceed…
When we did the treatments in our country, everything was much simpler and cheaper, but when it will be done abroad, it requires much more finances.

We would be very grateful if you could contribute to our dream!

We are completely open if you have any questions.
