Campaign Story

My name is Jessie, and I have been through a rough two years. My husband has supported me through two emergency surgeries on the removal of my filopian tubes. The first surgery was intended to be removal of a cyst on my filopian tube. My surgeon in the middle of surgery removed my tube due to irreparable damage, however I was not informed they removed my tube, and my husband was instructed not to tell me for a few days after my surgery. I felt robbed of the truth, but hopeful on the promise I would only need my remaining tube to start our family. We moved shortly after to a smaller city to prepare a home for our future family. Not even a year after my first surgery, I was sent to the emergency room with a filopian tube torsion. Hearing the news I would need to have my remaining tube removed was one of the hardest things I have ever dealt with. I felt like I was incomplete, like I was not worthy to be a wife, if I couldn’t give my husband a family.
My husband ofcourse was extremely supportive and nurturing to me, but it is in both of our hearts to have our own children. We have been together for 12 years and have supported each other through lifes curves. We are both extremely hard workers and have been blessed not to need assistance. With two surgeries, we are slowly paying medical bills, but unfortunately, we can not pay the out of pocket deductible, our insurance company is requiring to start our IVF treatment.

We are so greatful for this organization to recognize and give hope to future parents who are struggling to start their own family. My husband and I would love to personally thank everyone who is contributing to The Gift of Parent Hood, you are keeping our dream alive of one day sharing our story of your kindness with our children.
