Campaign Story

Hi ! My name is Carolina and at the age of 26 I was diagnosed with choriocarcinoma which is a rare form of uterine cancer. I had just given birth to our daughter and 4 months later is when they had found the tumor. I battled cancer with a newborn facing chemo treatments weekly and overnight stays. I stayed strong for over a year however the cancer was progressing and the chemo was not working. Unfortunately the only other option was a hysterectomy which was heartbreaking given the amount of time I fought this and my hopes to be able to carry a child again were gone. It was extremely difficult raising a newborn while being sick all the time, constantly having to go to the hospital, not being able to fully be present most of the time due to my illness. Fortunately IVF and surrogacy is still an option and the only one I have at this point and my dream of expanding my family is just at a hands reach but it is a financial burden.

I am sincerely asking you to help our family on the path we’re taking by hopefully donating to our fundraiser. We are seeking assistance with surrogacy and IVF and would be thrilled and honored if anyone can help.
