Campaign Story
At a young age you would find Miranda taking care of any baby she could get her hands on, she began babysitting at 14, and continued to spend her teenage years babysitting for family and friends; her love for children came effortlessly. She knew that motherhood was destined for her future. At the age of 16 Miranda was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Because of this, her body does not ovulate regularly, resulting in reduced fertility, and a higher chance of miscarriage.
Fast forward to 2017, Miranda and Jared were newly engaged and the possibility of parenthood became more of a reality than ever before for the couple. Unfortunately, in that same year Miranda was rushed in for emergency surgery, and experienced a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. Not only had this threatened her life, but her left fallopian tube had to be removed. Saddened by this news, Miranda and Jared turned to God for guidance; they knew this wasn’t the end of their journey.
After years of praying for the healing of her body, Miranda and Jared decided to begin trying to expand their family again. In March 2021 they finally began fertility treatment! 7 medicated cycles of Clomid, and one unsuccessful Intrauterine inseminations (IUI) later, they were finally pregnant after a successful IUI! December 1, 2021 Miranda was celebrating not only her 28th birthday, but also the miracle of a new life her and Jared and been praying for. Sadly, on December 2nd the couple would learn that the pregnancy was nonviable, and yet again Miranda was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy. She was immediately taken back for surgery and her right fallopian tube was removed. Miranda and Jared turned to God for guidance again; they knew this wasn’t the end of their journey.
2022 is the year for baby Brown! Miranda and Jared will begin In-vitro fertilization (IVF), and while this journey is going to be long, it is also exciting! God continues to open doors for this couple, and will continue to guide them!
