Campaign Story

We are the Osterdyk family and we are trying to have our rainbow baby. This year we have had 3 miscarriages in a row, which means we are suffering from recurrent miscarriages. Recurrent miscarriage is the spontaneous loss of three or more consecutive pregnancies in the first trimester, with the same biological father. It affects 1 to 2 percent of women. My body and our hearts have gone through too much so now we are seeking professional help. We have started to do genetic testing and some hormone testing on myself. So far it looks like there might be issues with my eggs, which means we are now looking for help from a fertility specialist. Since I have had 2 of the miscarriages tested and come back genetically abnormal we are thinking IVF, along with genetic tests done on the embryo’s prior to transfer, is going to be our best bet. This process can be long and very expensive, which is why we are seeking help.

We are looking for any help we can get along with hopefully getting a grant. Anything will help our family continue to grow and finally give Scarlett a sibling. ❤
