Campaign Story

My name is Jenna. I was recently married at the age of 34 to my soul mate, on May the 4th (yes, we love Star Wars). By, August I was seeing doctors for a lump I’d found months before the wedding; by September was diagnosed with a hormone receptor positive breast cancer; and by the time I turn 35 this October, I will most likely need to have completed fertility treatment. This is because my hormone related breast cancer will have me on a medicine for 5 years that indirectly effects my fertility. This means, at best I will most likely not be able to conceive until I’m in my 40s.

Having a child and being a mother has always been something I’ve known was for me. I already feel behind, and with cancer treatment looming around the corner (still unsure of chemo or radiation potential, which can effect fertility directly), without the possibility of IVF, my future as a mother seems hopeless. Please help my new husband and I complete our goal in 5 years and be able to have a happy, healthy baby (and me!) around!!
