Hi our names are Matthew and Brittany Alvarez. We met 13 years ago while in our 2nd year of highschool. We reconnected back in July of 2022. Before then, I was forced to get my tubes tied back in January of 2022 while in a 3 year domestic violence relationship all because he didn’t want me having no more kids. Back in 2018, I had a stillbirth at 38 weeks of gestation and ever since then it crushed me entirely. My doctor begged me not to get the Tubal Ligation Surgery as she could tell something was wrong as to why I wanted it so bad but she proceeded with the surgery. I have regretted it ever since. My ability to bear children was stripped just like that. All because of some guy. A Tubal ligation is a medical sterilization procedure for women who are sure they don’t want a future pregnancy. But I wasn’t SURE. In October of 2022, Matthew and I got Married. We have talked about having kids since the day we basically knew we wanted to get married. I’ve had such guilt that I can’t give him what we wants until I get the Tubal Reversal Surgery. A Tubal Reversal Surgery is a surgery done to allow a woman who has had her tubes tied to become pregnant again. The Fallopian tubes are then reconnected in this process. Since marrying my husband, I have finished and graduated College with a degree in Accounting and a Business Management certification. We currently have a 5 year old son that I had conceived before I met my husband. I know being a mom is something I was meant to be in this time. I without a doubt adore being a mom. Getting this surgery would be the greatest gift to have been given. I have already been approved for the procedure, just getting up the funds to have it performed is whats killing us.
