Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Tiffany and my husbands name is Ricky. I am 35 years old and I suffer from Proximal tubal occlusion. If your unaware of what that is, it is when your fallopian tubes are blocked closest to the uterus. We have been trying to concieve for about 6 years now. I was using ovulation test, having regular periods, testing my husband sperm and we were having no luck. Finally I said we need some answers. I started by going to my OBGYN. She done a pelvic exam which was normal so she referred me to there fertility doctor. He done test to check my hormones and those came back good so I was sent to have a HSG test done. A HSG is an X-ray test that uses dye to examine the uterus and fallopian tubes. I was so nervous,  many thoughts were running through my head. On one side I wanted the test to come back good, but on the other side I was hoping for answers. Then finally, I got my answers. Both my tubes are blocked. I just cried. Not exactly the answers I wanted to hear. He referred me to a different fertility specialist that focuses on infertility. My options are, to try different procedures to see if they can open the tubes but if those don’t work IVF would be the last option. Unfortunately were at a cross road because all those things are very expensive. We just dont have that kind of money and my Insurance isn’t going to cover anything else. My husband is a very hard working man who is a law enforcement officer. He goes out everyday to provide for us and to protect his community. I want nothing more then to make his wish of having a little bundle of joy come true. I’m asking if you could find it in your heart to help us in any way you can. Whether it be $1 or even if its a prayer it will mean so much to us. This journey so far has been extremely difficult and I know its not over.
