Campaign Story

My name is Kristel and my husband, Ronald and I have struggled with infertility for several years. I have a condition known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome referred to as PCOS, which causes hormone imbalances and makes it difficult to get pregnant. In 2018 we were able to get pregnant with our daughter Adeline after a hysteroscopy, D&C and two IUIs. We were able to use savings we had set aside for our fertility treatments. In 2020 we decided to return to the fertility center to try again. Unfortunately it was a lot harder the second time around. I was 39 in 2020 and even though an IUI worked with Adeline it didn’t work this time around. I ended up having to do an hsg, two hysteroscopies with D&Cs, 5 IUIs, IVF, and two FETs before getting pregnant with my second daughter in 2021. The expense of fertility treatment was much higher and has stretched us pretty thin. We are so grateful for our two girls but feel like we still have another child that needs to come to our family. We are asking for donations that will go towards frozen embryo transfers from the embryos we currently have in storage, fertility medication and any surgical procedure that may need to be done. Any help is greatly appreciated.
