Hi, my name is Susanne. I met my amazing husband, Scott, four years ago, and we were married in December 2023. I have a beautiful daughter from a previous marriage, and Scott and I have dreamed of expanding our family ever since we met.

Earlier this year, we were thrilled to learn we were expecting. We saw our baby’s heartbeat at 7 weeks, but tragically, by our 9-week appointment, there was no longer a heartbeat. We were devastated—but hopeful—and started trying again soon after. A few months later, we were blessed with another pregnancy, but once again, there was no heartbeat at 6 weeks. We suffered a third loss shortly after due to a chemical pregnancy.

After a series of tests and bloodwork, I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve and advanced maternal age—making natural conception extremely difficult. After consulting with our fertility specialist, we were told that IVF using a donor egg would give us the best chance at having a baby.

Unfortunately, our insurance doesn’t cover any part of IVF treatment, and the total cost is expected to be around $40,000. Both Scott and I work for our local school district and are doing everything we can to save while still managing the medical expenses from our previous losses.

We’re hoping to begin IVF sometime next year, and we’re reaching out for support to help make our dream of growing our family come true. Any contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to holding our rainbow baby. Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and support.
