Campaign Story

From the time I was a little girl, I imagined a life filled with laughter, shared meals, and the joys and challenges of raising a child. I grew up surrounded by family—my parents, siblings, and now nieces and nephews who have brought so much light into our lives. Watching them grow has only deepened my desire to become a mother myself.

I’m 42, and after years of building a stable life and loving home, I made the decision to pursue parenthood on my own through donor sperm and fertility treatments. It wasn’t a path I originally envisioned, but it’s one I’ve chosen with great intention, love, and hope. I’ve always believed that family is made through connection, care, and commitment—not just biology or tradition.

I live in Michigan, where I run several small food businesses, including a crepe truck that serves at festivals and community events. I’ve worked hard to build something of my own—something creative, nourishing, and joyful. I also have a loving home filled with a big, loyal dog named Shadow, who has her own goofy and tender personality. She’s been my rock through difficult times, and I can only imagine how much love she’ll share with a baby one day.

This journey has not been easy. Fertility treatments are emotionally intense and financially daunting. As a single woman, I don’t have a partner to share the financial weight of this process, but I am surrounded by family and friends who are ready to love and support a new little life. I am deeply grateful for them, and for the chance to ask for help in this way.

Becoming a mother is not about fulfilling a fantasy or completing a checklist. For me, it’s about offering unconditional love, stability, and joy to a child. It’s about passing on values like resilience, creativity, kindness, and humor. It’s about making a home where a child can feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
