Campaign Story

My name is Dominique and my husband and I are currently both on active duty military. We spent two years of our marriage on opposite sides of the world and now that we are reunited, we are trying to have a baby! After many years of trying without success, we spoke to a fertility specialist and I was diagnosed with endometriosis and hydrosalpinx. one year After I had surgery to remove the endo and reopen my fallopian tubes, we became pregnant with our first child. Our entire family was excited as my husband and I are the oldest child in both of our families. this would be a big first for all of us. Soon after discovering, we were pregnant I was rushed into emergency surgery due to a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. We’d lost our baby and my right fallopian tube was removed during the surgery. After following up with my OBGYN, it was discovered my left fallopian tube was closed and scarred. I was scheduled for surgery to have my remaining tube removed so that it would no long leak toxic fluid into my uterus. Our only option for a successful pregnancy is IVF. However, this is an expensive treatment that our insurance offers no assistance with. We appreciate any help you are able to provide for our fertility.
