My name is Jarterkia, and along with my husband Michael of 13 years, we’re sharing a piece of our hearts with you today. For as long as I can remember, we’ve dreamed of growing our family, but our journey to parenthood has been filled with challenges we never expected.

For six plus years, I struggled with pain and uncertainty. After being dismissed by multiple doctors who told me it was “all in my head,” we finally found a physician who truly listened. He discovered 11 fibroids—four of them alarmingly large—that together accounted for 15 pounds of my body weight. The surgery to remove them was life-changing, and we felt so hopeful for the first time in years. But our path forward still held surprises. We recently learned that one of my fallopian tubes has closed, making natural conception nearly impossible.

After countless appointments and emotionally draining setbacks, we now know that IVF offers our best chance to bring home our baby.
But the financial reality of IVF is daunting, and we can’t do this alone.
