Campaign Story

When Matt and I got married we had every hope that we would be starting a family together in the months ahead. We always talk about how we wish we’d met each other sooner, but in our case, that likely wouldn’t have improved our chances of having a family without assistance. Early miscarriages led to a referral to the fertility specialist. Followed by more challenges, including ectopic pregnancy, 2 MRIs, surgery and multiple false starts. Every time we thought we were getting somewhere, we weren’t. Here we are 5 years later, ready for the next step. Along the way, we took a break to save up some money and get our (my) head in the right place for the next step…IVF. IVF will be a longer, two step process for us, as I’m due to have a second surgery before we do an embryo transfer.

We’ve worked hard to cover our IVF costs, and we’re ready to move forward with this journey. However, we know some additional costs that can only be guessed at will be coming our way in the form of medications, ultrasounds, blood draws and the inevitable unknown. This is where you come in. We would so appreciate any assistance you can provide in giving us a little cushion…our contingency fund, if you will. Even a gift of $5 will make a difference in helping us through the last stage in our journey toward starting a family.
