Campaign Story

Helllooooo, my name is Shay and my wife’s name is Jayy. I am 28, as she is hitting 30. At 14 I lost my mom then at 18 I lost my dad. I’ve always wanted a family and dreamed of one day having my own family. Although I have two siblings, we aren’t close at all. I was born a twin but he died at birth so for years I’ve just been my own “family.”

In 2014 I met my wife whom had become my girlfriend at the time. Jayy and I met through being Facebook friends. At the time she had no clue about me but I knew about her, as she was my crush. Before getting to actually meet her, I believed she was a catfish so I never said much to her, until one day “the cat was out the bag.” We dated for three years and even got engaged but then we decided to call things off. We knew we were meant for each other and always wanted a family together but we were too young and the time just wasn’t right.

In 2022, Jayy and I became girlfriends again. In 2023, we then proposed to each other and became Fiancés. After being engaged, we decided we wanted to continue the family that we’ve always wanted. In 2024, Jayy and I got married.

Jayy and I began the process of trying to have our bundle of joy. We were so excited, we began picking out names, putting clothes and essentials in our carts and even completed all required testing; overall we were rejoiced. During the process, I was told some devastating news which then led me to having to get surgery due to things that had happened to me as a child and lessening my pregnancy options plus I have PCOS and diabetes. 

I spent majority of my life cherishing, loving and protecting everyone else’s child/children, I am just ready to do the same for my own. I want to have the full experience of carrying our child, being up late nights, early mornings, the throw up moments, watching them grow day by day and overall just raising our child and protecting them from everything that I’ve experienced as a child.
