Campaign Story

My name is JaiLynn. As a teenager, I was diagnosed with kidney disease. At 16 years old, I underwent a kidney removal to help preserve the second kidney. As a 16 year old, it wasn’t explained how this would effect the fertility for the rest of my life. For the past 5 years, I have been trying to have a child. Each time I accomplished pregnancy, they ended in miscarriage. When I switched nephrologist, I was informed that I would never have been able to carry a child to term because the kidney would not support a pregnancy. I depleted the savings I was able to accrue while teaching in exchange for a broken heart. After talking with a fertility expert, I was informed I would not be able to harvest my eggs because of my age and medical issue.

After researching surrogacy and embryo donation, I realized I needed help. I have always wanted to be a mom and to have a family.
