Campaign Story

My name is Amanda. My husband and I have been trying to conceive since 2019. My husband was in a bad car wreck in 2015 which caused him to have his pelvis, femur, and hip bone broken in several places. He has a rod in his leg, a disc in his hip and multiple screws in his pelvis. That itself was a hurdle for us to get past, his doctors said he will never walk again but by the grace of God and us never giving up he is walking. We started our journey of starting a family in 2019 trying any and everything to conceive a child, but we were not successful. By the end of 2020 we started seeking other options and went to a fertility clinic. From there we started going through the process of IVF. Going into the new year we were at the peak of COVID; IVF and medical bills along with me losing my job due to COVID brought on a compound of medical expenses as well as debt. The IVF treatment was successful and I did conceive; however the pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy which caused me to be hospitalized for 5 days and I had to have my right ovary removed. This increased our financial burden even more. After that failed pregnancy we did not continue with IVF to allow us time to grieve and heal. We are continuing to stay steadfast in the word of GOD and we are trusting him to see us through this process. We are now ready to try IVF again; however it is not financially sound for us at this time. We really want to start a family and with your gift, support, and encouragement I believe we can make this dream a reality.
