Campaign Story

Hello, my name is Carina and I’m 27 years old. I’ve had a very hard time openly expressing myself on this subject and asking for help in general, call it pride or disappointment. After really sitting and praying on it with my little family, I am finally ready. After 2 years of TTC, I was diagnosed with damaged fallopian tubes and PCOS. I was told by multiple specialists that IVF is my only option but I have a very high chance of success. It definitely has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. I am thankful to God for my husband and my step daughter in every way there is to be because they remind me that no matter what, am a parent and never make me feel less than; But like anyone in this boat knows, some days are harder than others. And our own thoughts can be the cause of becoming stagnant and feeling stuck. But they love me even when I don’t feel much love for myself and the cards I’ve been dealt. There is constant battle in my own mind of “This is God’s will and I accept it.” and “I want to experience everything in life that God so divinely created me for.”

My husband and I work long hours, but unfortunately our insurance does not cover any part of fertility testing or treatment. I hope and pray God aligns us with parenthood at the time that is right to grow our family. I would love nothing more than to experience motherhood from the very beginning with the love of my life and our girl. I set a goal for myself to live as healthy of a lifestyle as possible until I am mentally, emotionally and financially ready to start the IVF process.
