Campaign Story

I am Leslie and I’m married to my amazing wife Kristina (Krissy). We have been together since January 11th, 2013 and married since April 9th, 2016. We started the process of growing our family in September of 2019 by doing IUI’s. I was the first one to try to carry. I had a miscarriage on our 2nd try in October of 2019. This was the hardest lthibg I have ever had to go through. We tried 2 more times and both were unsuccessful. We took a small break from trying and tried 1 more iui with me in June 2020. We thought the 5th try failed as we had taken 2 at home test and both were negative. However when our fertility clinic called to congratulate us we were in disbelief. We welcomed our 1st daughter in March of 2021. We knew that we wanted one more child but had to wait until our daughter would be heading to kindergarten. Recently my wife Krissy just did 2 iui cycles both of which were unsuccessful. To say it’s heartbreaking is an understatement. Especially since everything looked perfect for the monitored cycles. With how much IVF costs, we could only afford IUI cycles. We have used the last of our donor sperm. Until we can afford to buy more donor sperm and to possibly afford IVF, we have to pause on trying to grow our family. My wife does still want to try to carry. We did learn that she has some endometriosis which makes getting pregnant harder. Within this next year my wife hopes to try to get her endometriosis removed.
