Our Journey to Baby G: A Story of Faith, Hope, and Love

The past couple years have been some of the hardest of our lives. Being told that we have a 1-in-a-million chance of conceiving naturally is a reality we never imagined we’d face. Navigating secondary infertility has been an emotional and spiritual challenge that we’ve worked hard to face together, but it’s not without moments of sadness, grief, and longing.

Still, through this journey, we’ve found unexpected strength. I came across these words recently, and they resonated deeply:
“Infertility is surprising because it’s strengthening, and it strengthens your marriage and your faith if you let it. Even in the middle of confusion, grief, and isolation, I somehow feel more grateful for the things in my life than I ever have before. Not every day is perfect, but I am choosing to be grateful.”

Gratitude doesn’t always take away the sadness, the envy, or the guilt. But it has shifted our perspective. We are so thankful for what we do have—our loving marriage, my incredible husband who finds joy even in the hardest days, and my beautiful 6-year-old daughter, who has been so patient and full of love as she waits for her chance to be a big sister.

The unique part of our story, my husband came into our lives and became the father my daughter deserved. Their bond is beyond beautiful—a video of the two of them went viral on TikTok, reaching over 4 million views, with hundreds of thousands of people urging me to give this incredible man a child of his own (which has always been the plan). Those comments touched our hearts but also reminded us of the reality we face. Due to blocked fallopian tubes, IVF is our only path forward to grow our family. Having children of his own, is my husband’s dream.

I was a single mom until I met him, and being a young single mom was at times traumatic. Going through pregnancy alone, motherhood alone, custody battles alone… But now, I long for the chance to experience motherhood again in a way I never could before—with the love, stability, and joy I’ve found in my husband and the family we’ve built. I want to give my daughter the sibling she dreams of and my husband the child he’s always hoped for.

We’ve reached a point where we know we cannot do this alone. The financial burden of IVF is overwhelming, and so we’re humbly sharing our story—not just to ask for support but also to shed light on the silent battles so many others are facing. Infertility is taxing, lonely, and often misunderstood. But we believe in the power of community, prayer, and faith.

To our family, friends, and loved ones: thank you for walking this road with us. To strangers reading this: thank you for opening your hearts to our story. Your prayers, encouragement, and kindness mean more than you’ll ever know. The devil may be trying, but we know God will make a way, just as He has done time and time again.
