Campaign Story

My name is Anna, and my his and’s name is Todd. We have a five year old son, named Grayson, from my previous marriage. Grayson has spina bifida, and I got fetal surgery to improve his quality of life. This surgery put two different incisions on my uterus- one vertical and one horizontal. I was told to wait two years before having another baby, and was told the pregnancy would need to be followed closely.

In July of 2022, we found out we were pregnant with our precious daughter, Evelyn Ruth. We were absolutely over the moon, and could not wait to meet her. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I started to have severe pain along the scar line from my fetal surgery. At 35 weeks, one week before her scheduled c-section date, my uterus ruptured at home. Our Evie Ruth did not survive, and I almost did not.

We have been told that carrying a baby is no longer an option for us. Fortunately, they were able to save my ovaries. With the help of God, science, and a precious selfless woman, we will be able to bring a biological baby home.
