Campaign Story

It’s always been a dream of ours to have a family. My husband is one of 10 children, and I am one of 3. We never expected the physical, emotional, and financial stress that comes with infertility. We are hopeful that as you learn more about us, we prove to be heartfelt candidates.

I am the middle child of 3. My parents had me at the age of 35. As a little girl, I dreamed of having a family of my own. I had 4 dolls with 4 little doll beds in my bedroom. I would take these dolls with me everywhere, even the dinner table. When my father requested that my dolls NOT join us for Thanksgiving dinner, I was completely disbelieved! “But I’m their mother!” I stammered in astonishment. This is one of my earliest memories of myself mirroring my parents when it comes to nurture and love. My family has strongly molded who I am today.

My nurturing spirit continues in my love for animals. I found one of my cats as a tiny, injured kitten on the side of the road. I am happy to report that Mulan is now a 3-legged thriving adult cat.
For the past fourteen years, I have worked in the

Medical/Healthcare field of Clinical Trials. Over the past five years my focus has been on Phase 1, first in human cancer treatments. I am incredibly proud of this.

I believe my purpose is to help facilitate the approval of cancer treatments to prolong lives. In this position I have been blessed with meeting some incredible cancer institutions, who work hard each day because they want the best for their patients.

My husband, David is number 8 of 10 children! His parents are now in their 80s and have over 20 grandchildren! One thing I believe my husband takes away from both his parents is his dedication and value of an honest day’s work. Rain or shine, my husband completes his job, and I admire him for that.

David and I have been together since 2015. We recently got married on October 14, 2023. Although we live in Florida, we got married in his hometown of Swanzey, NH to ensure that all his 9 siblings could attend! The wedding was truly a family affair! One of David’s sisters made our wedding cake, and his other sister provided flowers from her prolific garden! My nieces were bridesmaids. It was a day that David, I and our families will never forget!

There are many things that my family and I have learned from David’s large family. David’s siblings all take care of each other and their nieces and nephews with no judgment, love and kindness. I have been blessed to marry into such a big family. I gained 9 additional siblings!

Today, my husband and I live with our two cats and dog, Moxie! Moxie is a Belgian Malinois. We love taking Moxie to the dog beach here in Florida! One day, we hope to share all this with a family of our own.

This past year, we took a loan out for an IVF cycle, and it was unsuccessful. If blessed with this Grant, we would take our Fertility Specialist’s advice and try again, but with donor eggs. The physical, emotional, and financial stress that comes with infertility is challenging. We do believe that God has a plan for us. We have so much love to give, which is why I am writing this letter to you. I believe I am an earnest candidate because I wish to share that same love with a son or daughter of my own. Who in turn will one day share that love with the world.
