Campaign Story

My name is Jon and my sister has been trying to get pregnant for a decade now. Here is her story:

My names Vanessa,it’s been my dream to become a mother as long as I can remember. I met the love of my life, Zack, in 2012 and we were married in 2017. We began family planning in hopes of naturally conceiving. In 2019, I was introduced to bariatric weightloss surgery as an option to help with fertility. After the surgery within just a couple months, I had lost weight and was healing- I discovered I was pregnant, but two months in, I was rushed to the hospital with what the doctors told me was an ectopic pregnancy. This meant a double tubal ligation (removal), at this stage IVF was our only option. We searched multiple clinics and first found CNY in New York (14 hour trip/ each way) . We chose them for the doctor and payment plans, as IVF is expensive. We only made it to 2 appointments before we realized we couldn’t afford the travel. Luckily, we were able to find a clinic in Chicago that meets all our needs and is only 3 hours away!
We had an Egg retrieval in January, with one successful Embryo- this next step involved us traveling 2x a week to Chicago over this past year. August 2nd I finally got my Embryo transferred, and we have just found out on August 12th, that it was negative.
So, here we are beginning our journey again. Zack and I both work full time Jobs and have been putting all of our love and savings towards creating a family. The treatment itself is $20,000 and we are so grateful for any help youre able to give! Thank you!
