Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Vissai. I suffer from infertility and Endometriosis. My husband Zach and I have known each other since we were in 2nd grade. We started dating in 2017, got engaged in 2018, and married in 2019. We knew right away that we wanted to start a family. We have been trying to get pregnant for the last three years. Although, it has only been three years; it has felt like a lifetime of waiting.

After a year of trying naturally and no luck, I looked into taking medication to help with fertility. The first medication I took (clomid), threw off my blood work and put me at risk for pancreatitis. I then switched to Letrozole, and got pregnant after my third cycle on it. Unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. We have not been able to conceive since then. In the summer of 2021, we started IUI. We had 3 unsuccessful cycles of IUI, which made us extremely sad and hopeless. I then had an exploratory laparoscopy in January of 2022, which found Endometriosis. The Endo was removed, and the hopes of conceiving were back. After a couple of months with no luck naturally, we attempted IUI for a fourth time which again, failed. We are now seeking IVF treatment to see if that will help us get pregnant and start the family we have always wanted.
