Campaign Story

My name is Bethany and my husband’s name is Donald. I am an EMT/Volunteer Firefighter and my husband is a Truck Driver. We have been married for 4 years now. I have children from my past relationship and decided to have my tubes tide back in 2012. My husband has raised his ex-wife’s children and now mine and really would just like to have one biological child of his own. So we paid to have my tubes reversed back in 2018. This was not a cheap or easy procedure on our family financially and well physically on me. Once it was confirmed I was good and should have no problems conceiving then more troubles came ahead. My husband started having problems with fertility himself. He ended up having a spermatic cyst on his prostate and it was causing all kinds of pain and health issues for him. So off to surgery he went with more financial cost. Once we got through his surgery and were told he was good and had normal numbers and what not….Covid-19 happened. And well life was yet again flipped upside down with kids being out of school, one of us having to stay at home to homeschool for a year and such. We were both at the time still in college. We have been through so much with our fertility journey. Needless to say we have unsuccessfully been trying for a total of 2 years. We are at our breaking point with no hope in sight. My husband’s fertility dr and my ob/gyn have now recommended IUI or IVF and to seek a couples fertility specialist to work with. We would love nothing more but to at least give these treatments a try and hope we get the little miracle we have so desperately been hoping and praying for, for so long. Financially with the way the economy is, prices of everything and all the debt we still have from the treatments we have already been threw and with completely whipping out our savings, we just can’t afford the treatments without help.
