Campaign Story

My husband Jonathan and I have been trying to conceive, following our marriage in 2018. It was our goal to have children we could raise and nurture into a loving home that would share in stories that bring hope to those around us. We can think of nothing more valuable in this world than Family.

During a routine visit with his urologist, Jonathan was diagnosed with male-factor infertility. He was put on Clomid and vitamin supplements to increase his sperm count for the next six months.

In February of 2023, we got pregnant for our first time!

Following my positive pregnancy tests on February 14th, 2023, we continued with a prescheduled fertility doctor visit at a clinic in Atlanta, Georgia the very next morning. It was a whirlwind that followed.

After taking a pregnancy test at the fertility office, we were ushered into the specialist’s office where we were greeted immediately with options like IUI and IVF treatments. Confused, we asked them about our positive pregnancy test. She told us that the test there in the office came back negative. Confusion ensued, and we were asked to return to the waiting room, broken-hearted.

My Fertility Specialist then double-checked with the nurses in the other room, discovering the thrown-away pregnancy test was in fact POSITIVE. We then celebrated our first pregnancy!

During the 8-week ultrasound to check for the baby’s heartbeat, it was discovered that I had experienced a BLIGHTED OVUM where an embryo did not develop following the pregnancy. This was MY FIRST MISCARRIAGE.

Absolutely devastated by this news, we sat in the OBGYN’s office awaiting further instruction as we overheard a couple in the next room listening to their baby’s heartbeat on the loudspeaker.

After I recovered from the miscarriage, my husband and I were determined to try again. I had further testing done only to discover my right fallopian tube was blocked. Jonathan continued his medication until discovering a more natural path to increasing his numbers and we attempted IUI once with no success. We were then advised to seek IVF treatment for our next attempt.

This brings us to this moment in our story, where we humbly ask for support as we try to start a family. It has been my dream and my purpose to pursue the role of Motherhood and taking care of a family. We thank you so much for your support!
