Campaign Story

Hello, My name is Brenda. My husband and I have struggled with infertility for years. When I was 23 years old I started seeing a specialist. I have gone through a total of 4 Iui’s (Intrauterine Insemination), first 3 being medicated with oral medication and last one 2 months from being 29 years old with oral medication and injectables, after years of trying our last iui was what we thought our turn, we prayed and prayed and got out very first positive pregnancy test only to be told it was and ectopic pregnancy (A pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus.) that led to my Fallopian tube to rupture and had to get emergency surgery to not only terminate my pregnancy but remove my right Fallopian tube, I was told I had scar tissue that i will need to get removed, 6 weeks pregnant and losing my baby as well as my Fallopian tube is and has Been physically and emotionally the hardest thing I have experienced. Our dream is to become parents and are holding on to hope, and not giving up. As I only have 1 Fallopian tube left and scar tissue, we fear of it happening again. We are left with the option of IVF. My husband and I have been together for 11 years and the road to parenthood has been the hardest. Our insurance does not cover anything that is fertility related. Anything will help us during this time. Thank you so much for reading my story.
