A Unique Gift

In 2018 I suffered Cervical Cancer in it’s early stages. It’s not something I share often. But God is good and has pulled me out of the muck and into something beautiful and healthy. It was back and forth for months on whether a hysterectomy was necessary. Instead of taking any sort of life risk, I decided I was already blessed with two beautiful baby girls and opted into avoiding any other serious and scary treatments and went for the hysterectomy that was suggested to ensure my health and safety. After going through a painful divorce, I never expected the man of my dreams to enter my life not long after. When we began dating I right away shared with Andrew I would never be able to have another child, one of Andrew’s very own. However, he stood by me and loved me regardless. But, then I learned that having a child again wasn’t impossible. I made an appointment with fertility to talk options, Andrew came with me, even though we had only been dating months at this point. Amazingly, I was told that I still have very healthy ovaries. In fact, the doctor was shocked at the amazing blood flow and egg count. She shared how very possible it was to have a child if we wished someday through a gestational carrier or surrogacy.

We are beyond happy to know how possible it would be. The toughest part obviously being the financial aspect.

I had two daughters prior to marrying Andrew and he has fallen hard for Aubrey and Amara as his own. He has taken on the role of a dad as though he always was with ease, joy, patience and compassion. He is an amazing man who I want to share in the parenting journey with from the start as he deserves and wants.

Aubrey and Amara dream of being big sisters and we talk often of names and dreams for our child with the girls. Please help make our plans for surrogacy easier by donating what you can to ease the cost. I am now 30 years old and only have been given medical clearance for only 10 more years to make this happen. There are legalities, medical tests, agencies, and so many steps that all have a large cost. We have chose our fertility clinic and want to begin with embryo freezing. Of course this starts with rounds of expensive IVF and testing for Andrew and I. Insurance doesn’t go very far with this type of process. So your donations will make this miracle a reality.
