Campaign Story

One of Longfellow’s most respected and experienced tennis professionals is Art Coleman, who has been teaching tennis for over 30 years. His son, Drew, recently had a serious skiing accident in Colorado. Gratefully, he had successful spinal surgery and is now in rehab with a positive prognosis. Drew is a remarkable young man who grew up at Longfellow and was the number one player at Framingham High for all four years. Drew also served as a teaching professional at Longfellow and participated in the summer camp program for numerous yearAs we all know, having an accident of this magnitude creates a multitude of challenges not only for Drew but for his whole family. Art has had to take 8 weeks off to be with his son in rehab, and they have had major medical, transportation, and home construction expenses to get Drew back home. Longfellow is a community-based club with member-centric values, and we hope you will be able to lend a hand to a family in need and donate to the Drew Coleman Fund, to help Art, Drew and the family offset the numerous expenses that create a significant financial burden.
