Campaign Story

Hi
i am Katharina. Me and my husband David have been struggling to get pregnant for many years. Finally we made the decision to see an infertility specialist who diagnosed me with blocked fallopian tubes. Unfortunately I can not get pregnant naturally and my only chance to have our own child is to do IVF.
We have started the very expensive and emotional draining process and unfortunately experienced our first miscarriage on Christmas eve.
The our baby had to be removed in a surgery and was tested in a lab for a couse. We found out that the chromosomes were not fully developed.
The embryos can be tested before transferring but because of financial reasons we could not afford it. Now we still have 5 embryos frozen and the chromosome testing cost 5000$.
About 40% of them will fail and not be normal. If we don’t do the testing it will be a Hit or miss again. If we do the testing and transfer a “normal chromosome ” embryo the chances of a healthy live birth are significantly higher.

We had never experienced anything like it, when you doctor tells you after 3 months that your baby has no heartbeat anymore. We want to minimize that traumatic experience but ask for a little bit of help to afford the testing.
