Campaign Story

Hi! My name is Crystal and my s/o is Erik. I am a 35y/o female with 2 losses. Our journey began 2021 when we conceived our first child. Shortly after when I went in for my first ultrasound I was told that our baby did not have a heartbeat. We were confused as to why it happened, what we could of done to prevent it and where this would lead us. We started trying again shortly after and were really hopeful as we had conceived our first month trying. Months went by and in December 2021 I got a very very faint line. I went to my OBGYN and got my blood drawn but my hcg did not rise enough to sustain the pregnancy. Miscarriage #2. In February I went to my local fertility clinic where I have had 3 medicated(Femara) cycles and 3 iui super ovulation cycles with (femara, menopur, and gonal f). Our next step is ivf. These last 3 cycles have been very emotionally and financially draining. I do not have a answer why I am unable to conceive no other than “unexplained infertility”. My anatomy has no issues, my hormones are impeccable, and my s/o has amazing sperm volume and quality. My hsg I done in January had “very promising results” and didnt see why we wouldn’t conceive naturally in the near future. The word “endometriosis” has been thrown out but I have no family history or symptoms. The fertility route with endometriosis is what we have already done and the path we are headed down.
I have had many roles as auntie and nanny in my life for many children but I cant find it in me to give up on having my own children. I waited until I found the perfect partner in life and I am hoping I didn’t sacrifice my and his chance to have children of our own. Please help in any way to get us closer to ivf success.
