Greetings wonderful family! We are Gabrielle and Eric Gardiner – a dedicated teacher and police officer, married for 5 years and who have endured heartbreak and loss on our journey to starting a family. Before being married, I Gabrielle, suffered from fibroids and PCOS. Doctors told me that I would have to conceive via IUI or IVF, with IVF being the better choice. We did 2 IUI’s without success and moved to IVF.

Using all of our savings and the help of family, we got pregnant all three different times, but due to a diagnosis of incompetent cervix, we lost all three babies at 18-19 weeks. It was the most devastating and hurtful experience. Faith has been shaken, but despite the challenges we have faced, we have not lost hope. With research, I was able to find a doctor/surgeon who specializes in TAC(transabdominal cerclage) was given a pre pregnancy transabdominal cerclage to ensure a higher carrying chance in our next pregnancy. Thinking about our losses and the previous surgery, we still hold onto the belief that our dreams of becoming parents will one day come true.

As public service workers, we have dedicated our lives to serving our community and helping others. Now, we are turning to our community for support as we embark on another round of IVF treatment to fulfill our dream of starting a family. We have 15 embryos on ice that need testing and then we will do a frozen embryo transfer. Your contribution to our fertility fundraiser will not only help cover the costly expenses associated with IVF but will also provide us with the emotional support and encouragement we need to keep fighting for our chance at parenthood.
