Campaign Story

Hello
My name is Kay Blanton. My husband George and myself are trying to raise money towards having a successful IVF treatment. I’m currently 39 years old, considered a high risk patient with low egg count. I’ve post poned having children with my husband due to obtaining my education and working. Now that some years have past my husband has been continously aaking to have a baby.

I currently have to do IVF due to a selfish decision I made as a young adult to tie my tubes and burn them. I wasn’t thinking when I decided to tie my tubes. My father was mad that I did per culture reasons. All I knew is, I had 1 son at 17 years old, by an abusive man, who never gave 1 care about me or his son. I took on all the stress in finishing high school, working 2 jobs and going to college by myself. So tying my tubes at 24 years old felt like a NO brainer because I was also scared to meet a man who would leave me physically, emotionally, mentally and financially to care for a child all by myself.

However, since the age of 29 years old, I met my husband George who has been there for me and his 21yr old stepson. I would like the opportunity to bless him with his own child. I have no doubt about him caring for his own child. Most importantly I don’t have to worry about raising a child with an abusive man.

We have 1k saved to date but currently it’s a struggle to save any money towards this IVF. In October 2021, I became wheelchair bound due to a motor vehicle accident, leaving George sole financial person to pay our bills, leaving no money for IVF. I’m hoping to learn to walk again by fall. However, my egg count is really low and I’m about to hit 40 so super scared that I won’t be able to bless George with his child.

We will graciously take any donation towards our IVF treatments. If you live in Dallas, TX area, we are willing to meet face to face to obtain more of a warm welcome and thank you! Even if you can’t donate but took time to read our statement, is a thank you! God bless you all

Thank you

Kay and George Blanton
