Hello everyone,
These are our dear friends Blake and Mel Spurgeon. It has been a painful season of loss and tragedy this month for this couple. Sadly, Blake and Mel were victims of an elaborate extortion attack and fraud resulting in the Spurgeon’s being robbed of all financial resources, including funds being saved for IVF treatment. Mel has been battling a severe and complicated case of infertility for years due to complex health issues. The consensus from multiple doctors and specialists is that IVF is the only option for conception.
While grieving the news of limited fertility options and trying to care for Mel’s declining health, this financial crime against them has been devastating. Unfortunately, after weeks of working with different branches of law enforcement, hopes of retrieving the stolen funds are slim to none.
Blake and Mel are overwhelmingly humbled by their need and deeply grateful for any gift given as they heal, rebuild, and with faith and vulnerability try to grow their family.
