Campaign Story

Hi everyone! We are fundraising for a very special round of fertility treatments. After trying to do an egg retrieval on Erica, we found out that our egg supply was exhausted, leaving us with one final option for expanding our family in the way we want to.

That final option is with my sister Jodie, who has graciously agreed to go through the process of donating her eggs! Which is amazing and incomprehensively generous and also very, very expensive and not at all covered by insurance. Thus the fundraiser.

If you would like to help us make one more family member, we would be forever grateful for whatever you want to offer. It is our deepest wish to give Abraham a sibling and if you want to help us out, you’ll be part of the coolest group science project baby build in our whole world.

Our story feels long  – it’s been over 2 years since we started trying for a second baby. In March 2021, we suffered a miscarriage. In December 2021, we sought fertility help. In April 2022, we did our round of IVF. In June the doctor confirmed that we have ovarian failure and likely wouldn’t see success with further treatments. We’ve waited over a month to get Jodie’s test results reviewed to find out she is a suitable donor.

We are hoping a successful retrieval will lead to an embryo and then a successful implantation, but there are no guarantees. so if you can’t donate money, please send all your very best positive thoughts – and thank you!
