My name is Candessa. I have had trouble with endometriosis since I was 14 yrs old. When I was about 28 yrs old, my OBGYN expressed to me that due to my endo, I may experience issues getting pregnant. I was not ready to have a child at this age.
My dream of parenthood was to have a father and a mother in the home. After waiting, and waiting, I realized that if I wanted my children I will have to give up this idea I had of what a family looks like.
I felt the longer I waited the more difficult being pregnant might be for me. I wonder also if would I be able to even get pregnant. I had to overcome a few obstacles, but somehow I continued to fight. I know being a single parent by choice is not an easy decision, but I know I can do it.
