Campaign Story

My name is Nicole and my loving husband’s name is Andrew. We have been together for 19 years! We have been through ups and downs, as all couples have.

We have suffered with fertility problems for many years. We did several medicated cycles with clomid, and we were absolutely ecstatic when we finally were able to get pregnant. Sadly, our happiness turned to sorrow just a few short weeks later. We lost twins in 2010, the first one naturally, and the second was sadly ectopic. I almost did not survive the ruptured tube. I had to have emergency surgery, and received 3 units of blood. We were able to get pregnant naturally
but unfortunately lost our daughter just 6 short months later. Since then we have not been able to get pregnant again.

We did several rounds of medicated cycles in 2015 all of which were unsuccessful, it was discovered that I am clomid resistant. I was given the diagnosis of PCOS at one of the first ultrasound appointments. During one of the last ultrasounds, a large mass was found on my left ovary. I had surgery to remove the ovary as well as the mass. After waking from the procedure, I was informed that they were not able to remove my ovary or the mass due to several adhesions connecting my ovary to the back of my uterus and part of my bowel. I was diagnosed with endometriosis at that time.

Fast forward to present day we again tried to use medications to try and get my body to ovulate. We were again unsuccessful and were referred to a fertility clinic in Colorado. We had our consultation and we were told our best option would be to move forward with IVF treatments.

We are so excited yet so nervous about our next adventure! Our dreams are being held back due to the out of pocket cost of IVF treatments. We are asking for help to raise the funds to move forward with our dream.
