Campaign Story

My name is Brooke and my Husband is Justin. We have been married for almost five years and have started down the journey to parenthood. My husband was diagnosed with CF (Cystic Fibrosis) when he was 7 years old. A common sign among males with CF are that they are unable to reproduce naturally. After seeking advice from fertility specialists, we know that our best option for starting a family is through the IVF process. We have already overcome this first obstacle of becoming a family by Justin electing to have a surgery (TESE) in which sperm is extracted and stored until it’s time to create embryos. However, before I am able to receive the fertility treatments and egg extraction surgery, I too must undergo an outpatient procedure (hysteroscopy) to remove a fibroid in my uterus. Not removing the fibroid increases the chance of miscarriage and could possibly lead to health issues later. While the IVF process is expensive itself, there are also outstanding costs before we can even begin. It has been our desire to become parents and we are hopeful to see that happen! We would be more than appreciative for any gift given to assist us on this journey to parenthood!
