After 4 years of trying, 4 losses (3 early, 1 late), 8 medicated cycles, 3 IUIs, & many visits with multiple specialists we have decided to move forward with IVF. Our doctor believes this is the best and safest option for us to bring home a living, healthy baby and will help build our family without having to wait another 4+ years for another baby if it is successful and we have multiple embryos

Over the last 4 years, we have spent roughly $20,000 already on appointments, testing, medication, procedures, hospital stays, ambulance rides, and surgery relating to our journey. The financial burden we are facing to try and start a family is overwhelming, to say the least, but we refuse to give up on our dream of being parents.

The total upfront cost to our clinic to get started with IVF is $16,600. This covers clinical visits, the egg retrieval, generic testing of the embryo, & the first embryo transfer. This doesn’t cover medication ($4,000 – $7,000), retrieval anesthesia ($500), further embryo genetic testing ($4,800 – $9,000), or additional transfers. Medical insurance does not cover anything related to fertility treatment, so this will be completely out of pocket.
