My name is Leona and 6 years ago I had my 3rd baby boy and made the decision to get a tubal ligation. I wasn’t sure about the decision when I made it and let others influence my decision. Now 6 years later I found my soon to be husband who has no kids of his own and I am wanting to start a family with him after we get married next year. We are finally getting into a better spot to be able to have a baby together and give my 3 baby boys another sibling. But the biggest reason I want a Tubal Reversal is because I have had new health issues arise and get worse over the years. It started a few weeks after the tubal was done. I was having major stomach and pelvic pains. Heavy periods and painful periods. I shrugged it off and ignored the symptoms and 3 years ago finally took myself to the hospital and was diagnosed with inflamed uterus and pelvic inflammatory disease. A few weeks after I had my obgyn appointment to look more into the problem was then diagnosed with Adenmyosis. It is like another form of endometriosis but inside the uterus instead of outside. I didn’t have any of these problems before and over the years it keeps getting worse. I looked more into my issue and found that surgical steel has traces of Nickle in it. I am allergic to nickle and have tried to ask for options but only get offered to take out my uterus. I am not willing to do that and looked into .ore options for me. I found out about Tubal Reversal surgery and found that I had a very slim chance to get it done through my medicaid. It didn’t bother me that I may not have any kids again until 9 months ago when I got with my future husband. We have been in and out of each other’s lives and finally came together. Now close to celebrating our 1 year anniversary I am hoping to surprise him with this fundraiser and hopefully the money for the Reversal so we can start our family together and add baby Mallory to the family. If anyone deserves to be a dad and experience parenthood it’s definitely my other half.
