Frequently Asked Questions
Gift of Parenthood is a cause-driven platform dedicated to helping people build, grow, or support their families. We empower both future and current parents by raising awareness, offering hope, and mobilizing resources for a wide range of needs, including fertility treatments like IUI, IVF, egg and embryo donation, surrogacy, adoption, medical expenses, and support for early childhood education and beyond.
At its core, Gift of Parenthood is an inclusive community where people can connect at any stage of their parenthood journey. By fostering open dialogue and breaking the stigma around family-building, growing, or other challenges, we help normalize seeking support and provide resources for those navigating their unique paths. Whether you’re a current or future parent, our platform offers guidance and a supportive network every step of the way.
We are working to expand our services to more countries in the future, but for now, your fundraiser must be created in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, or Australia.
We offer two distinct paths to take part in the Grant Program, depending on your journey and comfort level:
➊ Apply Without a Fundraiser
This option is for individuals or couples who are not hosting a fundraiser on our platform—whether because their support network is small, or they prefer to keep their story private.
We understand and respect this choice. While we do encourage sharing your story (as it helps reduce stigma and opens the door for collective support), it’s not required. You can still apply for a chance to receive the grant by creating an account and submitting an application.
➋ Apply With a Fundraiser – Fundraiser Plus or Pro Membership
If you’re actively fundraising on our platform, you can participate in the Grant Program by upgrading to a Fundraiser Plus or Pro membership. You’ll receive the same chance at the grant, plus helpful tools to boost your visibility and support.
No matter which path you choose, all participants have an equal chance to be selected. The upgraded memberships simply provide extra support for those who are actively fundraising.

Active fundraisers are defined as campaigns that are actively maintained by the organizer with recent updates and received donations dating no more than 30 days prior to the deadline of the grant award date.
To edit your fundraiser, just login to your Dashboard and click on Manage > Edit Campaign.
Great question! No, there is no limit and the fundraiser will not cap off at your goal amount. The fundraiser will continue accumulating donations even if your goal is met.
You can receive support by participating in the Gift of Parenthood Grant Program, which offers up to $20,000 in funding each quarter. There are two ways to enter: by submitting a grant application without starting a fundraiser, or by upgrading to a Fundraiser Plus or Pro membership if you have an active fundraiser on our platform. Both options carry equal weight for grant selection.

Yes, the Gift of Parenthood is a platform for all people! We believe in inclusivity and strive to be diverse in regards to ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, relationship status, medical history and geography.
Recipients are announced on or around the 1st of every quarter. You can find the announcement date on your account Dashboard.
The Gift of Parenthood Grant recipients are selected by random draw.
The following individuals are not eligible to participate: employees, officers, directors, or agents of Gift of Parenthood or any of our partners, related companies, agencies, or agents, as well as the immediate family (defined as spouse, parents, siblings, children, and grandparents) and same household members of any such employee, officer, director, or agent.
The award can be distributed in two ways:
-
Directly to a healthcare provider: The funds can be sent to your healthcare provider or clinic to cover current or future treatments or medical expenses.
-
Into an active fundraising campaign: The funds can be deposited into an active campaign on our platform, provided it shows real donations and engagement.
This policy helps us ensure that our support goes to active and genuine fundraising efforts.
No, you do not. We respect your choice for privacy and will always honor it. Your personal journey with infertility is deeply personal, and we understand that not everyone may be comfortable sharing their story publicly. However, we want to emphasize that the Gift of Parenthood Community is built on the principle of normalizing infertility discussions. By sharing your story, you contribute to reducing the stigma around infertility, which can ultimately benefit others facing similar challenges. Nevertheless, we recognize that there may be circumstances where you need to keep your infertility journey private, and we fully respect and support your decision in those cases.
If you have any concerns about the privacy of your story or would like to discuss how we can best accommodate your preferences, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
No, we do not have an age limit. At Gift of Parenthood, we strive to be all-inclusive, providing support to individuals and families at any stage of life, unlike many other organizations that impose restrictions.
The cost of any infertility treatment such as IVF can vary depending on your circumstances and the clinic’s rate. However, in general, IVF costs can range from $8,000 to $15,000+ per cycle, plus the cost of medication.
In general, the cost for IUI (artificial insemination) and Clomid services can range from approximately $500 to $3,500. However, the need for repeat procedures can escalate the cost and in some cases double or triple it. Egg donation starts at approximately $10,000, but will depend on the clinic. Surrogacy fees can be as high as $100,000 when taking in the account the agency fee, lawyers’ fees, and medical costs.
