When Fall comes around, we look forward to the cool, crisp air, cozy time with loved ones, the sound of leaves crunching beneath our feet… and of course the next grant giveaway! It was such a blessing to be able to award three couples struggling with fertility during our Summer of Hope grant cycle. As you may know, we have four cycles per year (and the occasional raffle) and the new season is upon us!
It’s estimated that 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining pregnancy. In Canada, 11.5% to 15.7% of couples are struggling with infertility according to a recent study. Fertility treatment is expensive and it’s usually not covered by insurance. Gift of Parenthood wants to help you start or grow your family and we don’t want the financial aspect to hold you back. That’s why we offer these grants to those struggling to conceive. The grant funds can go toward IVF, IUI, egg and sperm donation, egg freezing, and surrogacy and anyone above the age of 18 can apply.
