Each quarter, Gift of Parenthood awards grant funding to individuals and couples navigating the emotional and financial challenges of starting or growing their families. These grants are made possible through generous donations and community support, and are open to eligible applicants from across the country.
To ensure fairness, recipients are selected through a structured review and selection process guided by our mission and values.
How Recipients Are Selected
Our platform uses a multi-step process to identify grant recipients:
➊ Mission-Based Review: Each submitted application is reviewed by our board to identify stories that resonate with the Gift of Parenthood mission. This includes applicants who demonstrate vulnerability, clarity, and a desire to uplift and be part of the larger community—not just the “worst case” or most heartbreaking scenarios. We are inspired by those who share their stories in a way that builds connection, hope, and momentum.
➋ Selection of Finalists: From the pool of eligible and complete applications, between one and four finalists are selected each quarter based on alignment with our mission and the impact the grant could have on their journey.
➌ Grant Distribution: The total grant funding raised for the quarter is then distributed among the selected finalists. This means there may be a single recipient awarded the full amount, or multiple recipients receiving varying portions of the total pool.
Important Notes
- You must submit a complete application to be considered.
- Active Premium Members are automatically eligible for additional entries depending on their membership tier.
- No single applicant may receive more than $80,000 total in grant funding in a calendar year.
Refund Credits For Unselected Applicants
While we can’t guarantee it every cycle, applicants who are not selected typically receive a credit toward their next application—made possible through the generous support of our community and successful fundraising efforts. This is one way we continue to give back to those walking this journey and encourage them to stay engaged.
