Surrogacy
Surrogacy is an arrangement where a woman agrees to carry a child for another person or couple who will become the parents. There are two main forms of surrogacy: traditional and gestational. A traditional surrogacy arrangement involves a woman being inseminated with male sperm using her own eggs. Gestational surrogacy involves taking eggs from the intended mother and fertilizing them with the father’s sperm to create an embryo that can be placed inside the gestational surrogate.Â
Many LGBTQ+ individuals and people with infertility opt for surrogacy to have a child that is biologically connected to them, which otherwise would not be possible. At the Gift of Parenthood, we believe that building a family shouldn’t put people into debt. With surrogacy costs ranging from $90,000 to $130,000 on average in the US, future parents need your help to make the impossible possible. Join us today.
