Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Donations Are Voluntary Gifts

Contributions made through Gift of Parenthood are voluntary gifts to the fundraiser organizer. Because funds are transferred to organizers to support their family-building journey, donations are generally considered final and non-refundable.

2. Requesting a Refund

We understand mistakes happen. If you made a donation in error (for example, a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or an unauthorized transaction), contact us at support@giftofparenthood.org within 14 days of the donation. Include the donor name, the fundraiser, the amount, and the approximate date so we can locate the transaction.

3. How Refunds Are Evaluated

Refund requests are reviewed case by case. Whether a refund can be granted may depend on whether the funds have already been paid out to the organizer. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe. Payment processing fees may be non-recoverable, and any optional tip you added to support the platform is refunded together with the donation where applicable.

4. Recurring Donations

If recurring (monthly) giving is enabled on your account, you can cancel future charges at any time from your donor dashboard or by contacting support. Cancelling stops future payments; it does not automatically refund past contributions, which are handled under the terms above.

5. Fraudulent or Unauthorized Charges

If you believe a charge was fraudulent or unauthorized, contact us immediately. We take fraud seriously, will investigate promptly, and will reverse charges that are confirmed to be unauthorized.

6. Organizer Payouts

Organizers request payouts of funds they have raised; approved payouts are sent to the organizer’s connected bank account via Stripe and typically arrive within 1-3 business days. Once funds have been paid out to an organizer, a donor refund may no longer be possible and will be handled directly with the organizer where appropriate.

7. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank so we can resolve the issue directly and more quickly.
